Episode #3 - 11/19/07 - Happy Thanksgiving!

NOTICE - As of 12AM (midnight) of November 22nd, 2007 (Happy Thanksgiving) our website host has experienced difficulties with the "play counter" that indicates the number of people who have listened to this week's podcast - it simply is not working.  Based upon the number of hits to the website itself, we estimate that the number of listeners may approach 100 or more.  We've been assured that this problem will be solved soon, so all the world will be able to see that our audience is growing in leaps and bounds.  Also, for those of you bloggers who attempted to set up a trackback - that issue has been solved, and trackbacks are now functioning properly.  Thanks for your patience, and please keep spreading the word.  And again - Happy Thanksgiving from the podcasters at The Voice of Liberty Podcast Network!

Host John McJunkin interviews Mary Katharine Ham, managing editor of Townhall.com and weekly contributor to The O'Reilly Factor on the Fox News Channel.  Andrea Shea-King tells us what happens when liberals act against the Boy Scouts.  Warner Todd Huston examines the insidious, incremental normalization of pedophilia.  Ken Marrero points out the exceptional nature of our troops.  Finally, John McJunkin brings us his second installment in a 50-part weekly series, "Why Mrs. Clinton Will Never Be President."

Our listenership is increasing steadily - thanks for telling your friends about us.  Please tell a few more, and make sure they tell their friends as well.  It's important for us to get the message to as many people as possible.  The presidential election is going to arrive faster than we can imagine, and we've got to do all we can to ensure a victory for our conservative candidates.  Enjoy this week's podcast, and please feel free to comment on it below.  Thanks for listening to the Voice of Liberty Podcast - and Happy Thanksgiving!

    Wow guys!!

    Another GREAT installment.

WTH, where on earth do you find the stuff you write about. I think you ought to have your own news bureau. We could call it Warner's World Wrap up or something.

Andrea, I loved the inclusion of the scout oath and other material in the voices of scouts themselves. It added a powerful element to the story you reported on and reminded us that the soldiers I talk about later aren't the only Americans, or even the first ones, that have a code they live by. Why is it the Left seems to take exception to Americans that stand for what used to be considered ordinary American sentiments?

John, you should consider syndicating your series on Mrs. Clinton. This week's episode was spot on and with 48 more episodes to go I think you've got a winner on your hands.

It's been great to start out my Monday with you all and, as usual, you've given me a great deal to think about behind the wheel today.

To our listeners and to all of you -

Blessings and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

    Ken

I am so fired up after listening to this podcast! I agree with everything said, 100%! I was sickened to hear that news story about the Boy Scouts last week, literally sick to my stomach! I am the proud daughter of a Navy Vietnam veteran, who was spit upon and called "baby killer" as he stepped off the bus to come home from war. I am now the proud wife of a Navy Lieutenant, who is hardly thanked for his 12 years of service. Support for our soldiers and sailors is so very important! And it's important to the family members, to the spouses who are left behind to run the household by themselves during deployment, to the children who are growing up without their parent for 6-15 months at a time, to the parents who weep silently at night, praying that their son or daughter is not in harms way. The sacrifice is not just of the solider or sailor, it's also that of every family member involved, and we feel nothing but respect and love for what they are doing for our country, whether or not we agree with the war, or our Commander in Chief.

Thank you for the best 29 minutes of my day!

This is stirring! The only thing I regret is that it's once a week and 29 minutes. Of course, when it's done I just want more! I listen to talk radio/podcasts most of my day, and I gotta tell you - what you all have done here not only far exceeds any "entry level" broadcast, but in my opinion far exceeds the rest of what's been out there for years.
I listened to Andrea explaining on her BTR show yesterday evening about how this is comparable to an NPR radio magazine, except Conservative. Well, honestly, NPR only wishes it was so!
Blogging, podcasting and the like have come to be the way I, and those like me, want to hear about what's going on out there!
It's unbelievable that the four of you were placed together at that convention and so quickly this is the result. Please keep it up, and I'll pray for you. There's a disease out there, and I think you're onto the cure. Makes me want to shout!
Each one of today's segments caused me to think and brought out several emotions. Think about how it must have looked to people who rode by me and noticed a mailman sitting in his truck, eating a taco, with a tear rolling down his cheek (as Ken Marrero explained the nature of our troops).

I like the approximately 30 minute format. It is an easily downloadable size and still has multiple "gold nugget" ideas. WTH I knew I agreed with you when we met, I just didn't know at the time how much I agree with you!
