Fred Thompson has withdrawn his candidacy. In the spirit of Frank J. at IMAO, allow me to point out that on the day that Fred withdrew from the race for the GOP nomination, the world's markets crashed - that's the power of Fred.

I'm still pulling for Rudy, but Fred was a VERY close second. If Rudy can pull out the win in Florida, I would love to see him immediately announce Fred as his running mate. If Fred would want the job, that is...
