Much has been made of Geraldine Ferraro’s comments regarding where Barack Obama would be in this race if he was just another white guy.  I think when the Wall Street Journal and Mickey Kaus both say you’re right, you’re probably on to something.  A less reported, but no less fascinating comment made by Ferraro in her explanations to Diane Sawyer was highlighted over at The Corner.  Talk about self-awareness.  I have to say I am impressed.  It takes guts to speak that plainly about politics and the vagaries of political popularity.  I am sure that there is next to nothing that she and I would agree on politically, but I have to respect her forthrightness in drawing our attention to something that should be obvious, but is instead so politically inconvenient that she has left the Clinton campaign as a result.  See what you get when you speak truth to Liberal power.
