Excellent post, Andrea. I agree that we need to see some level of passion from Romney about something -- anything. He's beginning to remind me of the last Massachusetts governor who ran for president.
Being calm, measured and controlled is important. In 99 percent of situations, it's the best response. But when your honor and integrity are repeatedly attacked, Americans expect you to eventually lose your cool.
When a reporter mocked President Truman's daughter, he threatened to punch him in the nose. When a moderator told a soundman to shut off Gov. Reagan's debate microphone, he got red in the face and shouted down that moderator. The public ate it up.
Although Americans hate a bully, we expect a president to stand up for himself. A genuine "I paid for this microphone" moment could convince a lot of us that Mitt wants to be more than an understudy for Disney's Hall of Presidents.
If he isn't willing to stand up for his own honor, how can he stand up for America's? Reply to this

That debate was ridiculous. McCain and Romney looked like little schoolgirls pulling each other's hair on the playground. Not very Presidential at all. Huckabee acted like the whiney left-out sister who wanted to jump on top of the dogpile. I fear the GOP is in serious trouble. Reply to this
I'm glad you're in Mitt's camp because we need all the help we can get in stopping this "Socialist Talking Express". Reply to this

You've tackled a difficult issue. Thanks for exploring it. Here's my two cents: Setting the litmus at age 21 isn't enough. That assumes that wisdom comes to one between the age of 20 to 21. Something which is demonstrably untrue. How about requiring a civics test comprised of American history and the Constitution and current issues. Before they are given a ballot, they must pass with 100%. I realize that this has as much a chance of passing as say -- Britney Spears making a comeback, but as long as we're dreaming, why not dream big?

This is great! Got hooked on Andrea a good while back after finding her show on a Conservative radio list. I followed her onto BTR and now this. In my opinion, this is a step above everything else we hear - all of you are very interesting and the production is excellent! Reply to this

Wow! What a great first show! You all sounded great! I appreciated all your pieces. I will note, however that Warner Todd carefully didn't go after police. That's why he's still able to park in Chicago after that commentary.
And Ken, your commentary moved me to tears.
I also liked the simple plain-spoken nature of Andrea Shea-King. It was like a NPR Radio special, only it was actually accurate Reply to this
