Sorry but this is a hoax the language used is not Australian. There are too many jarring uses to list but this was not written by an Australian. We have great respect for the USA but no digger nor his father would express themselves in such a fashion.

Dylan, I can assure you that I made the decision to homeschool my children years before the posting of this story. The main reason is to add consistency to my children's education as my husband serves in the US military and we move often. I don't think fear is part of the equation, and frankly I think it takes a lot of courage to build your own curriculum and teach it in your own home. I am happy, however, that I will have full control over what my kids will learn, and I feel that is what is RIGHT about America now-a-days.

Carrie, you are judging the bulk of your children's education on purely ONE account. This is one sad sad school of course, but to possibly change the lives of your to be children based one school and its problems is absurd. This is what's wrong with America now-a-days. We are all to afraid to walk out into the world, all so paranoid that something will happen, when in fact it is almost guaranteed. Chances are something will happen to you or someone you know at one time or another, but that's what makes us as people, human. It changes our entire personalities and makes us who we will be one day. I understand the fear, I've been there. I also understand that what this school did was horribly wrong, not the fact that they allowed gay materials into the school, but the fact that they went so far as to add pornography, and as far as I can tell racism, is beyond me. Now, don't get me wrong as saying that you should change your mind about homeschooling your children, there's nothing wrong with that, it's the basis you will put them in it for. You are letting fear control your actions and that's no good, because you will be leading their lives. I wish you the best of luck in life, God knows we will all need it.
